Terms of Service
ilovay (com.softcors.ilovay), operated by SoftCors, based in Armenia. Last updated 7 August 2026.
These terms are the agreement between you and SoftCors about your use of the ilovay app and its backend service. You accept them when you create an account. If you don't accept them, don't create one — the app has nothing to offer without an account.
How we handle your data is a separate document: the Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
Who can use ilovay
You need to be at least 13, or older if the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for using a service like this without a parent's permission. One person, one account. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself — and note that we store it only as a hash and cannot recover it for you.
What you post
Your content stays yours. Trips, spots, reviews, photos, Moments, Stories, comments and messages remain your property. What you give us is permission to run the app: a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, adapt for display (resizing and re-encoding images and video, generating map previews) and show that content to the people you published it to. Nothing more. We don't licence your content to anyone else, and we don't use it in advertising.
The licence lasts as long as the content is on ilovay. Delete a post and it ends, with two practical exceptions: copies already saved or re-shared by other users are out of our reach, and content preserved as part of a moderation report is kept as described below.
Post only what you have the right to post. Someone else's photograph, another app's spot database, or a person who hasn't agreed to appear in your video are all things we may have to take down if we're told about them.
What isn't allowed
- Harassing, threatening or impersonating anyone, or posting hate speech.
- Sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a child. This is the one rule where we skip warnings entirely and report to the authorities.
- Posting someone's home, private land or personal location without their agreement — including tagging it as a spot.
- Fake or paid reviews and ratings, and spot listings created to advertise a business rather than to describe a place.
- Spam, bulk messaging, and bot-run accounts.
- Scraping the app or its API, or hammering our servers or the map, routing and geocoding services behind them.
- Modifying the app or its traffic to unlock paid features, or to make requests it wouldn't normally make.
- Anything illegal where you are, or anything that encourages others to put themselves in danger.
Reports, blocks and moderation
You can report any post, place, route, comment or profile from its "…" menu, and block another user from their profile — a block hides your content from them and theirs from you. We review reports and may remove content, hide a spot, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Reports are kept even when the content they concern is deleted, because a pattern across several deleted posts is often the only evidence there is.
We are a small operation, not a 24-hour moderation desk. We act on what's reported to us, and we don't pre-screen what gets published.
Routes, bridges and places — read this one
ilovay is a planning aid. You are driving, not the app. Obey road signs and traffic law, and don't operate the app while your vehicle is moving.
Height clearances are not a guarantee. Low-bridge warnings and height-aware routes are built from OpenStreetMap data, where a bridge's clearance is often missing, out of date, measured differently, or simply absent because nobody has surveyed that road. A route planned around your vehicle height may still put you under something you can't clear, and a bridge with no warning may still be too low. The sign on the bridge is the authority; this app never is.
Places are user submissions. Spots, reviews, ratings and photos are posted by other travellers. We don't visit or verify them. Whether a place is safe, open, legal to stay at overnight, or accessible in your vehicle is yours to check — overnight parking and wild camping rules vary by country, region and sometimes by individual car park.
AI place summaries can be wrong. Where the app shows a generated summary of a place, it's a convenience built from public information, and it is not fact-checked.
Trip recording and navigation use GPS and keep the screen and radios active. Battery drain, patchy signal and lost fixes are normal, and we can't promise a recording will be complete. If you're relying on it, carry a way home that doesn't need this app.
ilovay Premium
Most of ilovay is free, including trip recording, publishing spots and routes, navigation, and low-bridge warnings. Premium is an optional monthly subscription that adds two things:
- Unlimited offline map area downloads, instead of the two a free account can keep.
- Routes planned around bridges too low for your vehicle's height, instead of an ordinary car route with warnings on it.
Payment, renewal and cancellation

| Refunds | Handled by Google under Google Play's refund policy, so ask them first. Where the law where you live gives you a right to a refund or to withdraw — in the EU and UK, generally within 14 days — that right stands, and you can write to us if Play won't help. |
Deleting your ilovay account does not cancel a Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play as well, or it keeps billing.
If we change the price, Google notifies you and asks you to accept it before it takes effect; you can cancel instead. If we ever have to withdraw a Premium feature, we'll say so in the app, and you can cancel for the same reason.
The service itself
ilovay is provided as it is. We don't promise it will be available without interruption, that it will be free of faults, or that any particular feature will still exist next month — the app is under active development and things change. Parts of it depend on outside services (map tiles, routing, geocoding, push delivery), all of which have their own limits and can fail or throttle us. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the Open Database Licence, and map imagery comes from MapTiler; the credits shown on every map are a licence condition, so don't remove or obscure them.
None of this limits any legal guarantee you have as a consumer that can't be excluded by contract.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time: Profile → Settings → Delete account removes your account and content, immediately and permanently. What exactly goes is set out on the account deletion page.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where it's reasonable to do so, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first; for serious cases — anything illegal, anything endangering another person — we act immediately. If we close your account for a breach, unused subscription time is not refunded.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost content, or for anything arising from your reliance on route, height, spot or place information described above. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be excluded by the law that applies to you.
Which law applies
The law of the Republic of Armenia governs this agreement, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you use ilovay as a consumer somewhere else, the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in still apply to you, and you can bring a claim in your own local courts — this clause doesn't take that away.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the date at the top when we change them, and tell you in the app when a change materially affects you. Continuing to use ilovay after that means you accept the new version; if you don't, delete your account.
