Delete your ilovay account
ilovay (com.softcors.ilovay) lets you delete your account and its data
at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us.
From the app
Profile → the gear icon → Settings → Delete account. You will be asked for your password to confirm. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
By email
If you can no longer sign in, email support@ilovay.com from the address on the account. We will verify ownership and delete it within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your profile — name, handle, bio, avatar and email
- your Moments and Stories, including photos and videos
- your trips, routes and waypoints
- your spots, reviews and ratings
- your GPS trip recordings and their track points
- your chat messages, follows, bookmarks and saved places
- your notification history and registered device tokens
- your subscription record held by ilovay
What does not get deleted
- A community you created remains for its members, without an owner. Your name is no longer attached to it.
- Reports other people filed about your content are kept, so that deleting an account cannot erase a moderation record. They no longer identify you — the content itself is gone and the account id they reference resolves to nobody. Reports you filed about other people are deleted with your account.
- Your Google Play subscription. ilovay cannot cancel it for you — cancel it in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions before deleting your account, or it will keep renewing.
- Records we must keep by law, such as transaction records required for tax and accounting, for the period the law requires.
How long it takes
Deleting from inside the app takes effect immediately — the data is removed from ilovay's database as part of the request, not queued for later. Requests sent by email are completed within 30 days.
